State of the World Report - June 8

From our vacation facilities in Miami Beach (temporary facilities), this is the summary report of how Cities War has been since the latest report.

ROUTES

Since the addition of the route update, many routes have been created through different terrains (forests, oceans, deserts, etc). The IRCC, managed by furinick, has expanded to build routes along the world. These routes are key to a future update, which willy states would be armies moving along the routes (you can find his comment in the Reddit post about the route update to confirm). To the question of if ships would be added (due to ocean routes), willy answered: "Yes, I was thinking about introducing the navy a long time ago, this update would open up the ability in the future. But the combination of army and navy is complicated, I hope to consider this after route gameplay matures." So the navy is being considered here as well, just will not be added soon. In any case, we will see how Cities War develops with the army movements turning towards routes.

Route requests are being held by the city approvers, who now have 2 responsibilities. These city approvers are: willy (of course), Toilet Leader, anzee, tostOS, and recently goodnames. To the question whether more route approvers are coming, he said,"Lots of people asked me to approve routes, but sorry, I can't let everyone add routes. Besides, there are not many route requests now."

The Real Breakup? : Chapter 2

Ever since The Resistance and The New Republic broke up due to disagreements within the leaders Cal and Overcooked_Muffin, things are now at a friendly level. The Resistance had settled in New Zealand but was pursued by the Roma co-leader AlbertRivera, among others. Meanwhile, the New Republic settled a few days later in South America and sought to bring order to the caos left behind by the disbanding of Imperio Oriental, region switching domination hands constantly. The latest was Deustch Union, who fearing the expansion of the new alliance paid the Mercenary Guild to attack the New Republicans, the center of such attackers were Bogota. The mercenary attack was successful, but the Republican leader retaliated and wiped the mercenary and the Deustch Union (capturing their capital), resulting in the abdication of the leader of the abandoned alliance. When dominance was going well for the New Republicans, the Romans came and wiped them, establishing a monument in Mexico City.

Now The New Republic leader sought to seek asylum to The Resistance, in order to strengthen himself and then come back to his new alliance. He defines The Resistance and the New Republic relationship as neither NAP nor allies, rather just friends trusting each other, maybe with occasional hookups (indirect analysis led to this conclusion). Now The Resistance settled in South America, waiting to be popped by the Romans once again.

UPDATE: The Resistance is rumored to join Noobheim against Roma for a recent pop and capital capture (the capital of The Resistance was Belo Horizonte.)

Yao in Vacation

Recently, the United Asia coalition declared war on the Yao Dynasty, citing an attack of Kim to NSTC and Article V, which states that members are obligated to fight back as an act of self-defense. Here is the short report by The Imperial Post. To this, 197 responds that it was just territory clearing, as every alliance does (including NSTC). In any case, after this declaration of war, Yao traveled to Jamaica for vacation, where now they focus on transmitting morbium to the Jamaicans who couldn't leave country in time. This can be a future endemic soon.

Special Appearances

chirp, who asked to appear in a CWNews report, is here, returning back from chirping in real life, and still begs for gems. He is currently a North Carolina co-leader.

Andre, the co-leader of once TBS has appeared on world chat advising people to increase the use of tea (it helps our intoxicated stomachs and intestines cleanse themselves from scraps of junk food and genetically modified foods found abundantly in Walmart).

The United Asia Coalition

The United Asia Coalition is basically formed by Sakura, NSTC, Roma, and Dossoles (as a cadet alliance). Vietnam is temporarily but indefinitely suspended after Sakuran-Vietnamese disagreements and attacks in Manila, São Paulo, and Vietnamese cities like Ho Chi Minh (or Hanoi). This coalition is led by BakaBento (Secretary General) and 2nd in command AlbertRivera (Deputy General). The coalition currently wears this flag, and has imposed a New Asian Order for peace and training new players. Their official news outlet is The Imperial Post. They are currently at war with the Yao Dynasty, which is currently on vacation.

CWFFL Season I ends

Manchester City won the first official season of the CWFFL, with only 1 loss (Man City vs Poughkeepsie 0-1). In this season, we see Albanians United doing their best performance although they lost the title race. Autumnal FC was not behind as they went on a win streak and putting in a lot of goals per match. We see BigCAS and NSTC Tigers underperforming this season, although Josey and Henry Stickmin played well for their teams. Here is the league table:

TBD - Player of The Season

Lubec wins the Golden glove with 17 goals let in, 16 clean sheets. Condom was close behind with 17 goals let in, 15 clean sheets.

The Player of The Season Award is based on nominations of the Cities War players that played their best in the season. 5 players are nominated by each nominator, and then the nominated are voted. Among the nominated were Condom, Josey, Maguiredinho, etc. There are still more to be nominated. Nominate your players in the comments below or in the sports special channel in CWNews Discord server.

Here are the top boards for goal scoring and assisting. The goalkeeping board will be added on the Trello board once it's finished.

The next season will start on June 14. Right now, friendlies and OVR training are occurring.

Here are the OVR Rules:

All teams get 3 OVRs and 15 skill stats (Tirana is a youth team so its a different count).

Skill stats are Finishing, Passing, Penalties, Crossing, Jumping, and Heading for each player.

1 - 5 OVR, 14 stats 2 - 4 OVR, 12 stats 3-5 - 3 OVR, 9 stats 6-8 - 2 OVR, 6 stats 9-12 - 1 OVR, 4 stats

Stat for Penalties can be distributed to other skills at request. If a stat is capped, you will be asked to add that stat to another skill.

Rules

1. TOTS Players 97 and above can only increase in stats.

2. To upgrade 97+ OVR players, 2 OVR points are required to increase by 1 OVR.

3. 3. If top player on one of these boards is 99, then player is rewarded instead with stats and second place wins stats as well. 1 OVR would equal 7 stats for 1st place and 3 stats for 2nd place.

4. Increasing an OVR also means an increase in stats enough for the OVR.

Youth/Relegation Teams

1 OVR for each player plus 20 stats for the team

1 OVR for Goalkeeper per clean sheet

1 OVR per win

Tirana gets rewarded 2 OVRs more for playing in official league.

1. Tirana contracts will be extended to 4 seasons.

2. 2. No player 86+ can be relegated.

3. No more than 2 players relegated.

4. Once a relegated player hits 86 or more at the end of the season, he will be automatically moved back up.

5. Seasons for youth players after Tirana team will be 3.

6. Each season, the manager will be asked if player in relegation comes out of relegation team.
