WRITTEN BY BLACK WOLF Navy Update is Here!
2022-11-16 we woke up to the new update we've all been waiting for, the Navy is finally here to change Citieswar for good. Each ship has very strong stats, not very much difference from one another but when put in a max they have giant differences.
Outside of an army, it seems like subs and cruisers would be the best, and that is only half true. in total, Frigates have the best defence in total, with subs being the best army for attack.
Here are the exact stats for each ship:
Frigate
Attack: 29,000
Defense: 33,000
Speed: +28%
Crew: 200
Fuel: 580
Escort: 600 km
Steel Consume: 15000
Rare Consume: 6000
Gold Consume: 6000
Destroyer
Attack: 40,000
Defense: 28,000
Speed: +36%
Crew: 300
Fuel: 650
Escort: 550 km
Steel Consume: 20000
Rare Consume: 8000
Gold Consume: 8000
Cruiser
Attack: 39,000
Defense: 50,000
Speed: +45%
Crew: 350
Fuel: 700
Escort: 700 km
Steel Consume: 24000
Rare Consume: 10000
Gold Consume: 12000
Submarine
Attack: 45,000
Defense: 21,000
Speed: +65%
Crew: 250
Fuel: 550
Escort: 500 km
Steel Consume: 21000
Rare Consume: 9000
Uranium Consume: 1000
Gold Consume: 10000
As you can see, Uranium has a use finally! Submarines require Uranium to create, which gives Uranium a purpose other than purely gold. This will change things slightly but not by much, though many will lose a valuable source of gold if they decide to even try for a sub max. this will require a small amount of strategising for players to find out how they'll be building a navy while also having enough uranium to sell to keep a decent gold income. There are also 2 new stats as were teased in the screenshots shown, the new Fuel stat and the Escort stat. Fuel is purely just how much oil will be used, nothing too complex. The new Escort stat shows us how many kilometers of space it can escort an army, and from my best guess this area will grow in size as the navy becomes larger.
Something important to think about, this new escort stat has changed the game immensely, with Navies needing to be in the same city as an army for the army to be able to cross the sea, making it very easy to landlock an alliance if you have a strong enough navy. This will also make Blockades useful for once since Armies can no longer just go around your blockage, and now force a player to attack or stay locked in or near their city. Sadly for many players, if this coastal city is occupied by an army, the navy cannot take it without an allied army invading first. This makes blockades a bit more difficult to do.
How much will this change Citieswar? Will diplomacy become epic again? We'll see in the weeks to come.
Singing off, Black Wolf.
