Official Note from the CWNews Editor-In-Chief

CWNews was good, but sometimes you got to evolve for the better.

There was some concerns over CWNews becoming a propaganda network for Hayden, who had become a recent integrant of the CWNews team. Obviously, that wasn't going to happen because I owned the network, and I placed the terms so it wouldn't become such propaganda. Even then, there were some that thought that I would be begging and kneeling down to him, and letting him write bias.

By volunteering, Cheems created the CitiesWar News Organization as a new and unbiased approach to covering news, having people in the community volunteer and be voted on to write them.

Honestly, it would've been fun having 2 news organizations competing in information and covering content. But sincerely, I have been on and off the game, and I was not posting much of CitiesWar News due to that reason. People wait for a month to read the State of the World reports (which will continue, now under the CWNO), but doing this news reporting alone makes it kind of boring. Having writers in-game informing players everyday about what happens in-game is best.

Personally, I'm dedicating more time to other things like novel writing, social media and my job. So reporting about Cities War when I'm not as dedicated to CitiesWar as before is off-hand.

Therefore, CWNews has been merged with CWNO. All writers of the old CWNews team will have to submit their writers application to be approved by the community. This is the new Discord server: https://discord.gg/mWP7VqmQPx

But not everything will be gone. The CWNews site (https://maxos0097.wixsite.com/cwnews) will stay and continue with the reports (including SOTW), but it will move to a rebrand to stay at hand with CWNO's Discord server. Those writers from the CWNO who want to write articles on the site on behalf of CWNO can ping me and I will give the writer's role. The only change in the site would be the rebrand.

As for the CWNews server, it has rebranded to CWEntertainment, which will host the Cities War Football League, the CitiesWar Ballsdex Cards Tournament, games, and arguments. It will also include the promotion of CitiesWar content from any social media account, including from the official YouTube channel and the official TikTok account (which has no content yet.) Having said this, thank you for the trust and support you all gave me during the 1-yr-and-11-months trajectory that CWNews walked. And thank you for the continued support for the merge and the growth of the new CitiesWar News Organization.
