State of the World Report - January 21, 2023

As first Report of 2023, we will summarize the events that have hit this month. This ranges from a potentially new global war to sabotage in discord servers, to the opening of the first CWFL season of the year.

Global War near?

As it's being widely known, BBC are at war now against Terceiro Commando, Good Boys Club, Cascadia, and possibly the Citadel Pact. There is a simple reason for this war - to revive the game. We must note that there hasn't been a war like this in a long time. As of now, the victims GBC, TC, and TCP have shrunk in size. However, bigger battles are yet to come.

Reactions have been an imperial ban from Cascadia to BBCians to participate in activities like the CW Trading Cards League, to a support of declaration from the Lechiites (who are at war with Terceiro Commando and have been wiped). Meanwhile, there are no other official declarations. However, currently TC and TCP are also at war with each other (due to Lisbon and BBC).

This war is between the regions of Southeast Asia and Europe, but this can well extend into North America, where Cascadia is. Wumi, anzee, and Al Capone have won the previous battle tourneys due to this war. It has been 2 hrs and there's already a leading 400 medals. But the worst (or best in the name of CW activity) is yet to come.

Sabotage on Servers

Recently, there were 2 sabotages on the @DrkOmega#7694 account, which led to the original CWNews server being deleted and the original #general chat of the CitiesWar server being deleted. The sabotager seems to be a "Polish" kid who seems to like smaller kids.

A new one was created and several were invited initially. However, the 2nd sabotage led to its killing the same day. Management was removed from the account to be safe.

Due to all this, we apologize.

Now, due to this event, we announce the merging of CWNews into the CitiesWar Discord server. This is to keep info all in one place and to revive the original server. If you were banned or kicked by the sabotager, please message BakaBento (Mono).

Returns?

vn123 is alive!!! He was seen earlier this month, after leaving his dad's basement due to bad conduct on Discord. However, it is suspected that he got locked back there, after disappearing again from CW and his new discord.

Battle Tourney Sheet

willy had made an update to put up the history of all battle tournaments since October (where medals started to be used as the winning standard). Raul, with the help of goodnames679 and Drk, have compiled the history on a Google sheet. He also added formulas to put up interesting information. The 2 Servers and WC

For those who do not know, the world chat of both the noob server and the main server have been merged. We can't see notifications of newcomers (or alts) into the noob server. However, they can't see messages that include this * before the message.

Latest Retirements and Bans

In the last days of December, we were seen with the sad leaving of Ant Rose. This was due to the big pile of allegations of alting. He gave up his account details and as said before, he is now locked out of his account. He did suggest several good ideas, like the update where we can all see when missiles go out. He also was responsible for the record influx of 1k views of a CWNews news agency post, this being about a certain Croatian city that was on holiday that day. As he was the only active Croatian of the game (and based Croatian), we say #RIPAntRose.

Lubec has been banned again, this time from his 3rd main account. He still seeks to survive as he is on constant persecution from tubularTOUCAN as he keeps reporting him to willy.

zmmiz recently semi-retired from the game, this due to personal reasons like university. He would still come in, and be mainly interested in Cities War Football and Arsenal winning the Premier League, as he said in his semi-retirement post on Reddit.

And now for the Cities War Football League:

The new season (the 1st season of the year) of the Cities War Football League has started today. Here are the novelties:

• 2 more teams join to make 20 official clubs in the league.

• A new Youth League will be inaugurated by 6 teams, one being the new Genesis Academy.

• The new Europa League inaugurates, and the Champions League shrinks from 32 to 24 teams.

The new transfer market was very active, so there will be many surprises this year. Player and sponsor contracts have been renewed.
