Chronicles of the World - July 13

These are the latest events that have occurred, which many awaited for it to be reported on here in CWNews.

BigSSR vs NSTC

NSTC was popped and cap-captured about a week ago, a sworn promise made by KimJongUn, now leader of the BigSSR. Now these alliances are in a mapless war, but with a lot of action that were begged by many. This all started from an NSTC defensive max placed in Yao territory, which was wiped by Yao. NSTC took the matter to the UA (United Asia coalition), and the UA declared war on Yao, sending them "to vacation" in Jamaica (spreading MORBID-22) and later Central America. While the CW World was calm (and boring), Yao suddenly popped NSTC and captured their capital. They are both now without borders. If things were to get better, Yao and The Resistance merged together to form BigSSR, Kim assuming leadership. The Resistance would be the host alliance of the merge. The Resistance is still weak from the Roma-TR war (which TR has not officially declared war). And speaking about Roma, Roma declared war on Yao and the Soviet Union (they had joined to pop NSTC), this means having declared war on the BigSSR conglomerate. The BigSSR conglomerate is formed by Yao (Kim), TR (Cal), 501st Legion (qwe), TNR (Muffin), and UER (extinct).

After briefing, the UA have yet to take action. The intervention would rotten the good relations Sakura and TR held, which had strengthened during the Ginebra-TR war. However, no action would isolate NSTC from the UA, although Roma would be helping NSTC. The UA had closed session due to having established peace, which now is not the case.

DRVR vs Roma?

During the BigSSR-NSTC war, there was also another conflict rising, this time between Roma and DRVR. The leader had expressed intentions of revolution against their puppet master due to inaction from attacks mainly from UA alliances, and even an attacker from Roma (unidentified). Reasons behind these attacks were mainly "fun" and "Lubecc". Dossoles have settled down with DRVR after Lubecc and ex-Dossoles members have left the alliance. NTE, having been blamed (suspected) for Roma attacks, enraged and quit the position of puppeteer of DRVR unofficially. Under request, Furinick appointed DrkOmega to the position of General Manager of DRVR, and his mission is to make it a cadet alliance and to hopefully convince UA alliances and fellow Roma members to stop attacking it. NTE in turn has been named Assistant Manager, and was to be named representative to CWUN for DRVR, but has been named rep of Roma instead. Will this conflict between Roma and DRVR end, and will Roma use their puppeting skills wisely?

Cities War United Nations

On July 12, now-Secretary General and Imperio Latino Leader gkaufman created the CWUN Discord Server, to join all alliance leaders of the CW World for diplomacy and submitting resolutions for major CW events. The official founding alliances are: BigSSR, Roma, Cascadia, Imperio Latino, Sakura, DRVR, and Dossoles. The representatives are currently being selected by the alliance leaders, and the resolution template being adopted. One of the first resolutions to have been submitted is to recognize Nigerien Gaytards as an alliance by the UN. All resolutions will be voted by representatives.

Before one of the resolutions was to pass (NSTC was to be unrecognized by the UA with 65% of vote, resolution was at 63%), NSTC leader Pakistan decided to stay under the UA flag and leave the UA unrecognized.

Poll Results for Celebrity Couple: AlbertRivera and leg (ElodieRivera) were voted a better couple (67%) than Alau and MartinSG. This must be because Alau is Peruvian (maybe 5% Paraguayan).

Short: Atlantic Union + Imperio Colombia = Imperio Latino

After Dannydog had created Imperio Colombia, both he and Gkaufman had merge talks and the merge occurred, Gkaufman being leader. This is one of the 3 merges this year: Ginebra + V= Roma, Yao + TR = BigSSR, and AU + IC = Imperio Latino.

Op-Ed: CW Inactivity

The lack of CW wars (one occuring just recently) has made moderation a bit useless now, as the game still needs more to live again. Should we ping @everyone on every server we have, begging all retirees back to CW and inviting new players to the CW world? Should we spam CW's official YouTube channel with trailer videos and walkthrough tutorials? Should we make a UA Olympics week, where all UA alliances battle for most medals in that week's alliance tourney? Should we go bigger and make it a global Olympics for a week or month where alliances are matched randomly and fight for most medals for each tourney until finals? Should we spam subreddits with Cities War ads? Should we just wipe the alliance list to 0 and leave the top alliances? Should we all spam Drew Durnil's videos with comments begging him for another Drewsade? It all ends in a should we. Some updates (like the rivalry update) discouraged players like Eorlingas to continue stacking and playing, while other updates were revolutionary but concerning to some. Some long for the old version of 2020 (the Drewsade year), where some "controversial" updates now available were not in those times. The fact is, if we want Cities War to be alive again, we should launch an advertising campaign at once. Or what should we do?

The Media

We have presence in Discord, Reddit and Fandom (with an outdated wiki). The new Cities War YouTube channel was added recently to the Home screen. Should we massively update the wiki? Should we get more social media to add to our collection? What do you think?

CWFFL

The 3rd season in Champions League had many changes, with the additions of the team Republican Kickers and the youth team Nightfall FC. Albert's Manchester City has had the worst start since their debut, coming in 3rd in league as of now, and getting knocked out of the Cup of War again by Albanians United. They have yet to show prowess as they did a comeback 6-2 against Autumnal, securing their pass to semifinals in the Champions League. The Albanians are trying to chase the league win after a disappointing loss in the finals against BigCAS, which saw Arradj (penalty), BigAll (corner kick assist by Messi), Kim (Arradj assist), and Deci (Robertson assist) score against them, with only Fredinho (Cal assist) and Filipe being able to score. This whole match went overtime, ending 4-2 with the blame settling on the sim manager who substituted Cal with Jordi Alba. However, Filipe was named Player of the Cup for his constant and outstanding role in the cup. BigCAS are on their best form as they won Cup of War and try to hold the league and win the Champions League.

Prospects for POTS are Canada and Arradj, and the best prospect for Ballon d'Or is Arradj due to cup and league performance.
