After Twitter placed a permanent ban and Facebook a indefinite ban on the President, the president had turned to email statements and considered having equity in Gab and Parler. But after the unsuccessful attempts, the president decided to make his own platform.

Now he has a one way platform to transmit his messages to the people. It's unclear whether this was part of the project or separate from the project.
